Bishop Bob Jackson
Robert (Bob) L. Jackson was born in Berkeley, California in 1945. He attended Oakland public schools and graduated from Castlemont High School in 1963. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1968. He received an A.A. degree from Merritt College in 1970, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from California State University, at Hayward in 1973, a Masters Degree in Theology from the International Seminary in Plymouth, Florida and in May 1998 an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from the Sacramento Theological Seminar and Bible Institute, Sacramento, California. He is currently working on his doctorate in Philosophy and is also the author of "Church Building Though Evangelism" and "Cast the Devil Out."
"Bishop Bob" was called to pastor in 1984. He began Acts Full Gospel Church in Oakland, California with thirteen members. The church has grown to over 7500 members. The church's growth is a result of the vision to "take Oakland for the Lord Jesus Christ" through personal evangelism.
During recent years, Bishop Jackson has taken the evangelism method of "the Seven Steps of the Kingdom" to pastors and churches across the nation. The vision has now expanded to "taking the World for the Lord Jesus Christ".
Bishop Jackson was consecrated as Auxiliary Bishop in the Church of God in Christ in April of 2004 and is the National Director of its Soul Winning Department.
Bishop Jackson is married to Charlene Jackson and has five children.
