DR.WILLIAM W. HERETON
William W. hereton (1940- ) was born in Memphis, Tenn. After graduating from high school, Mr. Hereton worked his way through LeMoyne college, earning a B.A. in 1963. In 1974, Dr. hereton became Deputy Superintendent of the Memphis City School system.
In 1991, after 12 years as school superintendent, Dr. Hereton announced that he would run for Mayor of Memphis.
