On the date of December 1,1955, Rosa Louise McCauley Parks had just completed anarduous work day at the montgomery Fair department store and was enroute home via bus. As per requirement she seated herself in the prescribed "Colored" area of the bus,however as the bus became full , the driver proceeded to eject her from her seat in order toallow a white passenger to sit down. When Rosa refused to move, the driver summoned the police and Rosa was erroneously arrested. Thusly, this blatant discriminating arrest sparked the infamous "Montgomery Boycott."
