Kamau Bandele Kokayi, Holistic M.D.


Yale Medical School

Dr. Kamau Kokayi is a graduate of Cornell University and Yale University School of Medicine, receiving his MD degree and then completing a family practice residency with Board Certification. While at Yale, Dr. Kokayi independently embarked upon the study of alternative approaches to healing. He took a one year leave of absence from medical school to expand his education, This began his journeys of more than nineteen trips abroad to study alternative and traditional medicine in China, Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean.


Alternative Medicine Training and Certifications


Dr. Kokayi is certified in acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Applied Kinesiology, and is a graduate of the Dynamis School of Homeopathy in London, England, and a practitioner of Bioenergetic Healing. His special interests include bioenergetic therapies and traditional healing systems, including the Chinese and Japanese healing arts, and traditional African medicine.





Serving Patients Holistically



Dr. Kokayi integrates the healing techniques he has studied with his medical training to serve his patients with high-quality holistic care. He is unique in providing patients with time, attention, and effective complimentary treatments and alternatives that support healing. Dr. Kokayi sees patients at the Kokayi Holistic Medical Center, an integrative health facility where he is Medical Director.
