Lewis Howard Latimer was born in Chelsea, Mass. on Sept. 4.1848 and died on Dec.11, 1928.He was an Afican american inventor and draftsman.
though thomas Alva edison is credited with the invention of the light bulb, Latimer made signicant contributions to its further development by creating the filament which sustained the longevity of the bulb.
